Let’s get comfortable

with the uncomfortable

A death doula, also known as end-of-lifedoula, is a non-medical professional who provides emotional, practical, and compassionate support to individuals and families navigating serious illness, end-of-life planning, active dying, and grief.

Much like a birth doula supports individuals through the transition into life, a death doula supports individuals and their loved ones through life's final chapter. Every journey is unique, and support is tailored to the needs, values, beliefs, and wishes of the individual and family.

A death doula does not replace medical professionals, hospice providers, clergy, therapists, or funeral directors. Instead, a death doula serves as a compassionate guide and supportive presence, helping individuals and families navigate difficult conversations, preserve meaningful memories, create legacy projects, and honor the life of a loved one.

I believe that every life has a story worth honoring. My role is to provide a safe space where you can feel heard, supported, and unconditionally cared for.

“You don't have to navigate this journey alone.”

FAQs

How is an end-of-life doula different from hospice?

1

Hospice provides medical care and symptom management through a team of healthcare professionals. An end-of-life doula complements hospice by offering emotional support, companionship, legacy planning, family support, and personalized guidance throughout the journey.

When should I contact an end-of-life doula?

2

Support can begin at any stage of a serious illness, after a terminal diagnosis, during active dying, or even after a loss.

Do you work with people of all faiths and backgrounds?

3

Yes. I welcome individuals and families of all cultures, faiths, spiritual beliefs, and personal practices. My role is to support your values and wishes, not to promote any specific belief system.

Simply schedule a consultation through the contact page. We'll discuss your needs, answer your questions, and determine the best path forward together.
